Guide to modifying the templates: Sales

Sales template is a template designed to easily include your product/service training content for sales teams and turn learning into a unique experience.

In this adventure, the learner-protagonist will first receive training on the product/service and then must put it into practice in a sales meeting with a customer.

In the Editor you’ll find five versions of the Sales template game with different environments to suit your needs:

  • Sales calling
  • Banking sector
  • Pharma & Healthcare sector
  • Retail sector
  • Sales visits

Sales template is a game structured in five levels, with three scenes in each one:

  • Scene 1 – Training phase: the idea is to inform and teach the player about your product, service, sales process, etc.
  • Scene 2 – Role-play phase: the player puts into practice what they’ve learned.
  • Scene 3 – Closing phase: the customer’s response is received.

How to prepare the training phase

Each lesson/block of content in the game is configured by default with the text building block, but you can change the format to video, PDF, URL, or image, or combine different types of resources. We’ve also added the test building block (with or without a timer) which you can use to assess the knowledge gained. In the Test building block, you can add one or more questions, each with three possible answers, i.e. one correct and two incorrect.

PRACTICAL TIPS

  • Collect, review, and update existing training content, or create new content to include in this training.
  • The text must be written without errors and organized in such a way that is easy to read and consult.
  • PDF files should be no longer than 2-3 pages, and videos no longer than 2-3 minutes.
  • IIf part of your content is very long reference documents, use the URL building block and explain to your students how, where, and when to access these documents instead of including the entire content in a lesson.

How to prepare the Role-play phase

Use the Dialogue building block to test the skills learned by the player through a simulated conversation. To do so, use a decision within the dialogue. All you need to do is to enter the desired question with its three possible answers. Your questions should be used to review important points and check the learner’s understanding of the content.

PRACTICAL TIPS

  • You can change the characters and their number of contributions in a conversation.
  • To make your dialogs flow naturally, you should speak about your product and what you want to convey clearly and concisely. Try to maintain the learner’s interest with as few words as possible.
  • Remember that one of the most important elements in the learning process is feedback:
  • Positive feedback: When the correct answer is given, the feedback congratulates and briefly explains why the answer is correct.
  • Constructive feedback: since we tend to learn more from mistakes, constructive feedback is important in explaining to the learner why they made a mistake and preparing them for the next question.

Customize your game

If any building block of the script is written in UPPERCASE, it means that it’s an editable main building block that you should always customize. You can also customize the game in several ways, for example:

  • Change and/or add characters.
  • Rewrite the texts of the Placard building block, which serve to indicate time and/or location.
  • Add as many objects to a scene as you like.
  • Add your company logo and your client’s logo in “Your logo here”.
  • Add images of your product/service to the scenes in the “Your poster here” section.
  • In Scene 3, add a summary of what’s been learned using the Text building block or Show Hint building block.
  • Award points based on correct and incorrect answers.

Remember that you can consult the Academy tutorial on the use of scenes and their elements.

Remove building blocks

In the same way you can add building blocks, you also have the option to remove them. If you find another building block with a generic message, you can edit or remove it. In addition, you will also be able to do the following:

  • Delete dialogs.
  • Remove the time/location placard.
  • Remove scenes if you’re only interested in the part dedicated to training or role-play.
  • Remove entire levels, depending on how much information you want to convey or how much role-play you want to include.

Guide to correctly adding your content to the game

This table lists the areas where you can insert your content:

✑ Level 1 → Scene 1 → Delete the scene when customization is complete

Scene 2 → 1st Trigger – Poster (Conversation icon training) → 3rd Text building block

     Scene 3 → 1st Trigger – Poster (Conversation icon role-play) → 2nd Dialogue building block

✑ Level 2 → Scene 1 → 1st Trigger – Poster (Conversation icon training) → 3rd Text building block

    Scene 2 → 1st Trigger – Poster (Conversation icon role-play) → 2nd Dialogue building block
