Deploying your course
| If you have a subscription plan with seats or credits, see our instructions on publishing and setting the visibility of your games on your Campus. If you’re unsure what kind of plan you have you can check by clicking on “my account “ from the button at the top-right corner. |
Once your game is tested and ready to go, there are different ways to make it available to play:
- Setting up a Campus where your learners can access the games.
- Using SCORM to access them from an LMS
Note: If you would like a SCORM account, get in touch with support. If it is for one of your clients, create a SCORM client.
Setting up a campus for access to your games
- If you are a partner, you must first create a “client” and assign them credits or assign them seats.
- If necessary, first buy credits or buy seats.
- Make sure your game is published and set its visibility if necessary.
Here’s a checklist for you:
Using SCORM
How our SCORM connector works
- You download a SCORM .zip file and upload it to the LMS where your learners will access it. We support SCORM version 1.2.
- When the SCORM is launched, an authentication token will be generated, which will create a user in the Admin.
- Once opened by the player the game will still run on Gamelearn’s arcade, meaning you can still push immediate updates to your game and publish translations that will be instantly available. No re-uploading SCORMS for every update. Although the student accesses the game through the SCORM package, the game will continue to run in the Game Strategies Arcade environment. This means you can modify the game and publish translations: both updates will be available immediately, but only for students who start playing from the moment the game was updated. There is no need to upload a new SCORM package for each update.
- This also means that you need an active plan for your SCORM game to work and your players will need an internet connection.
Important
When choosing whether to use SCORM or the Campus consider the following:
- Student progress data is not available in the Game Strategies Admin for SCORM clients. However, progress, play time, and status will be available in your LMS.
- SCORM clients cannot use referrals
- Players of SCORM games cannot participate in the leaderboards of the Campus nor will they receive notifications.
- You will need to download the .zip file for each course and upload it to your LMS/LXP.
Downloading the SCORM .zip
