Gamification and Campus leaderboard
Campus gamification
Activating the gamification of the leaderboard allows you to have an overview of the number of games completed by students and, at the same time, facilitates engagement.
Prerequisites
An active subscription and an available open catalog.
Once this feature is activated, you’ll have access to a new tab in Admin called Leaderboards:
The leaderboards will be updated monthly on each student’s Campus. In the Admin, you’ll have access to a general overview of student positions, names, completed courses, and points earned since activating this feature.
Remember that, from the Admin, you’ll only have access to the overall leaderboard, which contains the position and total points of all your students. However, on the students’ Campus, there will also be a monthly leaderboard (partial) where students will appear alongside other students they’re competing with (these groups will have a maximum of 5 students). The ranking is temporary and is reset every month.
| ℹ️ This section will only be visible if the option “Show company leaderboard and monthly competitions on the Campus” is activated. If it’s deactivated, all ranking history will be lost. |
Update of the monthly gamified leaderboard.
Students will be able to earn points for certain actions they perform on the Campus.
Keep in mind that there are two leaderboards active at the same time:
- General: company-wide rankings (visible from both the Admin and the students’ Campus).
- Partial: shows 5 students grouped randomly (visible only from the students’ Campus).
Both leaderboards will be filled in automatically each month as students start playing in that calendar month. The general leaderboard is cumulative while the monthly partial leaderboard is updated and reset at the end of each month. You can see more information in the “Leaderboard” section.
At the same time, students will be able to see their position on the leaderboard (general and partial) as well as the points they’ve earned on their Campus.
Ranking criteria of the monthly gamified leaderboard
Students can earn points in two different ways: one depending on the number of courses they’ve completed and the other on their position on the leaderboard.
Students can also earn points as they finish courses. Each completed course gives a score based on its duration (the more hours, the higher the score). 10 points are awarded for each estimated hour of duration.
At the end of the month, points are awarded to those students who finish in the top positions in the leaderboard for their competition and have more than 0 points:
- 1st position: 50 points
- 2nd position: 30 points
- 3rd position: 5 points
Students will also appear on the general leaderboard as they gain points, where they’ll also be able to see where their colleagues stand.
