This building block opens up the possibility of animating the characters in your scenes.
In-game view
Configuration
- Choose the character you want to animate in the scene.
- Choose what type of animation you want the character to have.
- Choose how many times you want the animation to repeat.
Additional Options
Enable the interaction during the animation: If left unchecked the player will have to wait for the animation to finish before continuing play
Set as ongoing animation: if checked, this animation will repeat until the end of the scene or until replaced with another animation.
Tips and tricks
- You can add animation to a character at any time, either within its own flow or in another element’s flow.
- If you want the character to be animated right when you enter the scene, place the “Animation” block after the “Trigger.”
- Try to animate your characters so that there’s a relationship between the animations (happy, thinking, looking for something, etc.) and what’s happening in the game.
