Publishing and updating

Publishing a game

Before you publish your game, you should check that the Course name, description, and other relevant information are completed in the Information tab. This is what will be visible to your player on the Campus and how they choose to play.

  1. From the main interface of the Editor use the search box to find the course you want to publish.
  2. Click on the “Publish” button on the game card.

Note: If the publish button is inactive it means you are missing some required fields in the information tab or there are unfinished fields in a translation.

  1. Next, in order to make your game available to play, you must set its visibility in the Admin

Setting a game’s visibility

If you have a Seats-based subscription see the section on Managing the Campus for information on setting the visibility of your games

If you have a Credits-based plan you manage the visibility of the games you create for each client. See our section on Managing clients for information on setting the visibility of your games.

Updating a game

You can work on your game, updating it and making changes, and these changes will not affect players until you update the publication. You do this the same as publishing with the button on the games course card in the Editor:

  1. From the main interface of the Editor use the search box to find the game you want to publish.
  2. Click on the “Update” button on the course card.
Note: Your updates will be immediately pushed to all deployments of the game but players who have already started will not see the updated version. Only players who start playing after you update will see the newest version of the game. This applies to the content of the game. Updates to the course card or Information will be immediately visible to all players on the Campus.
Be Careful: All updates that you make to the texts or assets will need to be validated in each language in which you have the game published. The translation tab keeps track of all changes so you can make the same change to the translated version or, in the case that the translation doesn’t need fixing, you must simply validate the field and activate the language again.
