Test
Description
The “test” building block lets you create multiple choice tests with as many questions as you want. There’s a maximum of 10 possible answers per question. Questions can be single or multiple choice.
In-game view
Multiple choice questions are shown on screen one at a time.
Feedback can be shown after each question or at the end.
How to set it up
Configuration
- Click on “add question” and in the spaces provided define the text for the question and each answer.
- Add between 2 and 10 possible answers for each question.
- For each correct answer check the corresponding box.
- Optionally, add feedback for each individual answer.
- For each answer, add or take away points in any of the game metrics or skill indicators.
- Complete the additional test settings:
- Set a % passing grade for the test
- Add a background audio (optional)
- Set whether the player needs to pass the test in order to continue. Otherwise, the player will have to repeat the test until the pass.
- Decide whether the player will see feedback after each question or only after completing the test.
- Set a time limit for the test (optional)
The timer
You can set a time limit in seconds for the test as a whole. If the feedback is shown after each question the timer will pause each time to allow the player to read it. You can add a message to display when the timer runs out, as well as defining a loss in points.
TIPS AND TRICKS
- A “test” is a good way to assess your players and make sure they understand the course content.
- When writing your questions:
- Make all the answers roughly the same length.
- The answers should make the player think, without being unnecessarily complicated. Use clear concise language
